JAMES GIN
The idea to make some gin came to me soon after buying half of my local pub. It was going to close and, had it done so, living in the countryside would have been pointless. I persuaded a couple of friends to get involved and we all agreed that it seemed like an obvious and relatively straightforward thing to do. But of course it isn’t straightforward.

ASIAN PARSNIP
This gin - my first - celebrates both my homeland and the pleasures I’ve enjoyed over many decades of international travel at other people’s expense. It is a comfort and a thrill in equal measure, it has won many awards and is officially acknowledged as a vital component of UK multi-culturalism.

LONDON DRIZZLE
Gin is traditionally called London Dry - but I live there and usually it isn’t. So I wanted to make a gin that would invoke that unique petrichor smell that comes from light rain hitting the pavement on a warm day. I’ve never met anybody who doesn’t like that smell.

CALIFORNIA DREAMGIN'
Our gin has proved particularly popular in California - so we decided to create a flavour that celebrates two staples of the hippie movement that originated there, namely mushrooms and patchouli, man. The flavour is light, fruity and peppery with a hint of apricot.
